Our optics are back in orbit!

On January 14, 2025, Absolut Sensing’s CH4 monitoring demonstrator, part of the GESat constellation, was launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9. GESat focuses on tracking greenhouse gas emissions to support climate action. Lambda-X High-Tech contributed a two-channel optical payload (SWIR & VIS), enabling precise methane detection with high spatial and spectral resolution, within a single, compact telescope. Over two years, our team developed the optical design, produced the model, and conducted a qualification campaign. Now, we eagerly await data from orbit!
